Term 1, 2008

{ February 13th, 2008 }

2008 is here, brand new, and hopefully a full and exciting year awaits us.
Our first week back this year is for Monday 11th February, meeting at Lower Hutt Baptist Church at the normal time of 7pm. Our first term will be very heavily based on outdoor activities as usual to make the most use of the summer sunlight hours. The programme itself is now online!

To get it out of the way, subs for this year are $70.00. We would expect these to be paid before 14th April, which is the last day of Term 1.
If there are any issues regarding payment or you wish to pay in installments, we encourage you to talk to Gary Kenny who is taking care of our accounts again this year.

There is a slight change of leadership. Gary Kenny who has helped us out over the years is taking a step back from everyday runnings of BB and is taking a background role in our company. Rob Stewart who has been a boy and leader with us is moving on from us and placing his efforts into other ministry areas.
We are looking for two leaders who are willing to commit to Monday nights for Company Section (11-19yr), and 2 leaders to help out on Thursday night for Team Section (8-10yr). If you are interested please let us know!

We are also looking to have more camps this year. It was evident last year that most if not all of the boys are keen for camps and so we have a couple planned during the year.

As always the website is becoming a more integral part for me to pass on information to you. The address is the same: http://www.10thwellington.bb.org.nz. Please regularly check it for updates in the Programme Section and in the Events section. News will also be posted when required and so its a good idea to keep your eyes on those pages.

So with 2007 behind us, and a new year and a new look ahead of us, 2008 will be a year of development, a year of growth and a year which will hopefully be remembered for many to come.
