Term 3, 2007

{ August 14th, 2007 }

Term 2 was a great term full of productivity. We felt that the classes ran well and that the boy’s got a lot out of them. With fun in Film, and the majority of a hoverboard underway, there is so much we achieved!

And if Term 2 is anything to go by, Term 3 is going to be just as much, if not more productive. We have a Drill class, which will be fun despite the rumours, as well as Drama, Citizenship and the ever present P.T! Continuing from Term 2 will be hoverboard for a couple of weeks and the Expedition badge, which will lead onto a trap towards the end of the term.

Over the school holidays we had a member of our company attend the National Leadership Development Course. Alistair Stewart attended Stage II which included a 3 day Solo in the outdoors. We look forward to hearing of his experiences and insights into life this comming term.

Gary Kenny who was not with us in Term 2 has returned, full of enthusiasm and passion for the company. We allowed Gary to take time off to figure out his futures with the commitments he has made with both Boy’s Brigade and with his church, and are pleased that he has decided to continue on with 10th Wellington.

Church Parade is currently in discussions. We have planned for this with the Drama class which will hopefully be able to be presented at the church parade, as well as the Film that has been worked on last term.

No set date has been established as of yet, but we are in discussions with the church and will let you all know when it is as soon as possible so we can put it in our diaries.

Term 3 is here. Lets make it a good one, full of sunshine and good times through these winter months!
