Term 2, 2006

Term 1 has been and gone, somewhat too quickly for some of us. A brief recap on some of the activites we got up to, starting with the first capture the flag, and IHC collection. A picnic out at Days Bay and then a Bike Ride as well. Following that was one of the best water fights, confidence courses and kareoke quiz nights. We will have a lot to live up to in years to come!

We have decided to keep the subs for this year the same as last year, at $55.00 for the whole year. BBNZ requires $35.00 per boy, and the first installment of this has already been ordered. The other $20.00 will go towards general funds of 10th Wellington Boys Brigade, for things like tramps, camps, and costs for resources. We are also going to re-introduce a lower fee for those boys who have brothers in the company. Subs for brothers will be only $45.00. (For instance if you have 2 or more sons in the company, one will pay $55.00 the others will only have to pay $45.00).

The registration form attached needs to be returned as soon as possible so that we can get phone lists out and pay our first installment to BBNZ. Please enclose your subs with the registration form when you return it.

This term we are straight into classes, with woodworking, and film and lots of PT on the cards. We have a junior tramp on the first Saturday of the term, Saturday 6th of May and we have a couple of extra nights planned to have a break from badge work.

Looking forward to a great term ahead, and expect nothing less after the great term which has just been.

On behalf of all the officers at 10th,

Al Ingham
LIC, Company Section
